wheels of power / watermill of the castle of Arenberg – university of Leuven

Double watermill with metal wheels, Leuven, Flanders, Belgium. The mill was first mentionned in 1421, later rebuilt in the 16th century. House of the princes of Croy, later of the dukes of Arenberg. The castle, watermill and lovely parc was a present of the dukes of Arenberg to the Catholic University of Louvain (Katlholieke Universiteit van Leuven) in 1921. The final miller worked with the mill till 1958.
